How Much Does a Moissanite Tennis Bracelet Cost? (2026 Guide)

By NOVAE ATELIER · 2026-09-20 · 11 min read
Moissanite tennis bracelet in 925 sterling silver, iced in widths from 2mm to 6mm, stones in individual prong settings
A tennis bracelet is a continuous line of individually set stones, articulated so it drapes instead of sitting flat. NOVAE ATELIER workshop, 2026.

The tennis bracelet question usually arrives in one of two forms. The first is short: how much does one cost. The second is the one that actually decides the sale, and it usually shows up after someone has looked at three websites: why is this one $79 and that one $329, when both are moissanite in silver on a seven-inch line?

Short answer: our moissanite tennis bracelets run from $63 to $405 as of 20 September 2026 — every piece is built to the width and length you order, so the size you pick is the price you pay. The middle of the line, a 3mm iced bracelet at 20cm, is $79. That $342 spread is stone size, stone count, length and setting work — not the brand on the box. The same shape in mined diamond, at roughly 1 carat total weight in 14K gold, is listed by a US jeweler at about $1,700–$2,900 (Mervis Diamond Importers, 1-carat bracelet pricing guide, July 2026). Below: what a tennis bracelet actually is, every price in our own catalogue line by line, what moves those numbers, how to size one so it does not end up in a lost-and-found story, and the two parts that fail on a bracelet like this.

What a tennis bracelet actually is

A tennis bracelet is a line of matched stones, each in its own setting, joined so the line flexes with the wrist. That construction is the definition — a round stone on a chain is a pendant; the same stone repeated 50 to 70 times in an articulated line is a tennis bracelet. Before the tennis name caught on, the trade called these line bracelets or eternity bracelets; the style itself goes back to the Art Deco period, worn in stacks (Vogue, “The Dramatic Sports Story That Inspired the Tennis Bracelet”; Alex Cooper Auctioneers, “The (True) Origin of the Tennis Bracelet”).

The name comes from a moment, not a design. The trade's account of it is consistent: in 1978, at the U.S. Open, the diamond line bracelet Chris Evert was wearing came off during a match, play was halted while it was recovered, and the description stuck (National Jeweler, on the Chris Evert tennis bracelet collection, 12 September 2023). You will also read that it happened at the 1987 Open. That version is a misreport of a single digit — Evert herself has given 1978 as the year (Mental Floss, explainer on the name, checked 20 September 2026). It is a small point, and it is worth having straight, because that same story is the most useful buying lesson on this page: what failed on court that day was not a stone. It was a clasp.

The style is not a relic. In August 2026 the trade press was still covering new high-jewelry versions of it, with a two-house collaboration launching tennis bracelets ahead of the U.S. Open at $11,450 and up (National Jeweler, 21 August 2026). In the jewellery world, a category that keeps getting reworked is a category that keeps selling.

Our prices, line by line

These are our own selling prices — what a customer pays — read from our catalogue on 20 September 2026 and quoted in USD. Every bracelet is built to the size you order, so the figure below is the range for that piece across its size options. The tennis bracelets, in full:

PieceWhat you pay (as of 20 Sep 2026)Width and size options

Moissanite Tennis Bracelet — 4×6mm White & Blue-Green Stones$329 – $4054×6mm stones · 6.5 / 7 / 7.5 / 8 inch

Every piece is 925 sterling silver with hand-set moissanite, held to our own stone standard (D–F colour, VVS-grade clarity). Prices are our selling prices as of 20 September 2026, taken from the size options listed on each piece's own page.

So the whole tennis bracelet line sits between $63 and $405 once size is priced in. For context on the rest of the range, read the numbers the same way — by sub-category, never by mixing one line with the whole category:

Category / sub-categoryOur price range (as of 20 Sep 2026)Pieces
Tennis bracelets$63 – $4055
Cuban link bracelets$179 – $9035
Bracelets, other iced styles$5591

Tennis rings$89 – $1372

Prices read from the NOVAE ATELIER catalogue on 20 September 2026, in USD, with each piece's size options priced in. Chain pricing by width and stone size is broken out separately in How Much Does a Custom Moissanite Cuban Chain Cost?

What actually moves the price

Five things, and none of them is the stone's brand, because moissanite has no brand — it is silicon carbide, sold by the millimetre and the carat like any other material.

The same levers are what a traditional jeweler is pricing when you buy a diamond version — stone quality, metal, setting style and total weight (Mervis Diamond Importers, July 2026). What changes between our bracelet and that one is the cost of the material in the middle, not the logic.

Moissanite vs a mined diamond tennis bracelet — the honest comparison

Here is the comparison with the numbers in one place. The diamond column is what a US jeweler publishes for a bracelet of about 1 carat total weight; the moissanite column is our catalogue.

BraceletTypical US retail / our priceWhat you are paying for
Mined diamond, sterling silver, prong setabout $1,000Diamond parcels priced by graded colour and clarity
Mined diamond, 14K gold, classic tennis (F colour, SI clarity)$1,700 – $2,900Diamond material plus 14K gold weight

Two things are worth saying plainly, because they are the reasons this comparison is not the whole story.

They are different materials, and we do not describe moissanite as diamond. Moissanite is silicon carbide (SiC); a diamond is carbon. A gemologist writing in the peer-reviewed journal Current Science describes synthetic moissanite as second in hardness to diamond while lacking diamond's pronounced cleavage, and stable enough to survive “all usual jewellery procedures such as setting, repairing and cleaning” (Kurt Nassau, “Synthetic moissanite: A new man-made jewel,” Current Science, Vol. 79 No. 11, 10 December 2000). At 9.25 on the Mohs scale it is the second-hardest stone used in jewellery, which is exactly why it takes 60-odd prong settings without complaint.

Moissanite has no diamond-style grading report, and you should not be sold one. The Gemological Institute of America's own lab note on a synthetic moissanite described its clarity as equivalent to a diamond grade only inside brackets — with the caveat that no such grades are assigned to moissanite at all (GIA, Gems & Gemology lab notes, Fall 2020). That is why we do not publish a grading scale for our stones. What ships with a piece is a certificate confirming the material, and the clarity language you will see from us is our own buying standard, not someone else's grade. If a seller offers you a diamond-style grade for a moissanite bracelet, ask which laboratory stands behind it and what you would do with it later.

What you give up against a mined diamond is resale: jewellery resale is poor across the board, and it is worst for anything small and modern, diamond included. Buy the look you want on your wrist, and treat the resale question as a separate purchase.

Sizing: the mistake people make with a bracelet like this

A dense, flexible bracelet is unforgiving about length. Too tight and the stones sit on the wrist bone all day; too loose and it rotates, catches on sleeves and hangs off the hand. One jeweler's published sizing guidance puts the standard adult length at seven inches (18cm), measured by wrapping a soft tape snugly around the wrist and adding half an inch to an inch for movement and the clasp — and notes that a bracelet should move freely without sliding over the hand (DEEVE, tennis bracelet sizing guide, May 2026).

Our catalogue makes the choice concrete rather than approximate:

If you are between two sizes, measure your wrist first and your knuckles second. The number that actually traps a bracelet is hand width, not wrist circumference: if the line will not pass over the widest part of your closed hand, the correct answer is a size up, not a stretch. And if you plan to stack it with a watch, take the measurement on the wrist you will wear it on, cuff included.

Moissanite tennis bracelet in 925 sterling silver, 2mm thin line with individually prong-set stones
The 2mm line is the entry point in our catalogue and the easiest to wear daily — this 2mm thin tennis bracelet is $79 as of September 2026, and can be built up to 10mm. NOVAE ATELIER, 2026.

How it wears: the clasp and the settings

There are exactly two places a tennis bracelet fails, and both are metal, not stone.

The clasp. Ask anyone who has lost one and the story starts the same way — it came off, and they did not feel it. That is also the story behind the name: the bracelet that stopped a match in 1978 came off, and play was halted to find it (National Jeweler, 12 September 2023). A bracelet with 60 or 70 individually set stones weighs more than a plain chain, and it moves against the wrist all day, so the closure is doing the work. When you receive one, close the clasp and then pull gently on the bracelet in both directions. It should not open. If it does, stop wearing it and tell the maker.

The settings. Individual prongs are what hold individual stones, and prongs are the part that takes the wear. GIA's care guidance is blunt about the two habits that cause the most trouble on a densely set piece: rinsing jewellery directly in the sink, where loose stones and whole pieces go down the drain, and running a home ultrasonic cleaner, whose vibration can shake stones loose or chip stones that are set with their girdles touching (GIA, “Tips on Caring for Jewelry,” 10 December 2015). On a tennis bracelet, girdles are close to their neighbours by design. Let a bench jeweler run the ultrasonic, and have the settings checked at the same time.

One more material note, because a bracelet is the piece most likely to be worn in the shower and at the gym. The stones will not care — silicon carbide does not tarnish and does not fade. The silver under them can dull over time, and the finish on top of it wears at the two highest-friction points, the clasp and the underside where the line meets the wrist bone. That behaviour, finish by finish, is set out in Does Moissanite Tarnish? 925 Silver & Gold Plating — the short version is that a monthly clean and dry storage are worth more than anything else you can do for it.

Moissanite tennis bracelet with 3mm butterfly links in 925 sterling silver, hand-set stones
Same construction, different link: the butterfly version at 3mm is $189, and the extra cost over the plain line is shape and setting work, not different stones. NOVAE ATELIER, 2026.

Five questions to ask before you buy one

  1. What is the width in millimetres, and how many stones? “Tennis bracelet” alone tells you nothing. 2mm and 6mm are the same category and two different pieces of jewellery, and one of them is several times the other in our catalogue.
  2. What metal, what finish, and is the finish disclosed? The base should be stated as 925 sterling silver if that is what it is (16 CFR § 23.5(b)(2)), and a rhodium layer on top has to be disclosed rather than left to the buyer's imagination (16 CFR § 23.7). Be wary of any thick-plating claim that does not come with a measurement — that regulated word has a 2.5-micron definition behind it (16 CFR § 23.4(b)), and we do not use it on our pieces because we have not had our plating measured against that line.
  3. What length, and can it be made to mine? If the answer is one fixed length, you are buying someone's stock rather than a bracelet for your wrist.
  4. What document ships with it? Ask plainly what the paper says. On a moissanite piece, what you should get is a certificate confirming the material — there is no diamond-style grading report for moissanite, and a seller who says otherwise is describing a category that does not exist. More on how the stone itself gets checked is in Does Moissanite Pass a Diamond Tester? — including why a pocket thermal tester reads moissanite like diamond, and why that is not the confirmation people think it is.
  5. What happens if a stone comes out? Ask before, not after. A reasonable answer is: send it back, we reset it. An unreasonable answer is silence.
Moissanite Cuban link bracelet with double row of hand-set stones in 925 sterling silver, 8mm to 15mm widths
The other bracelet shape in the same catalogue: a Cuban link line, 8–15mm double row, from $299 at 8mm/6 inch up to $903 at 15mm/9 inch. Heavier metal, flatter face, different read on the wrist — and a different price logic, because you are paying for the silver weight as well as the stones. NOVAE ATELIER, 2026.

Tennis bracelet, tennis chain, Cuban link — which one

Three shapes, three jobs, and the price gap between them is not about quality.

And if you are still working out what the stone itself is, that is a separate read: What Is Moissanite? The Complete 2026 Guide covers the material, the hardness and the price per carat behind every number on this page.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a moissanite tennis bracelet cost?
In our workshop, moissanite tennis bracelets run from $63 to $405 as of 20 September 2026, because every piece is built to the width and length you choose. The entry price is $63 for the iced line at 2mm and 16cm; the 3mm butterfly starts at $189 and the emerald cut is $199; the 4×6mm white and blue-green stone version runs $329 to $405. Width, length and setting work are what separate those numbers, not the name of the stone.

Is a moissanite tennis bracelet worth it?
It depends on what you are buying it for. For the look on your wrist, a moissanite tennis bracelet at $63 to $405 does the same job as a mined-diamond one that a US jeweler lists at roughly $1,700 to $2,900 for about 1 carat total weight in 14K gold. If resale value or the meaning people attach to the word diamond matters to you, that argument does not apply and we would rather say so now than sell you the wrong bracelet.

Is moissanite the same as a diamond?
No, and it is not a variety of diamond either. Moissanite is silicon carbide; a diamond is carbon. They are two different materials with different chemistry, different hardness (9.25 against 10 on the Mohs scale) and different prices. Moissanite is also not graded on the diamond clarity scale, so there is no diamond-style grading report for it.

Will a moissanite tennis bracelet tarnish?
The stones cannot tarnish, because tarnish is a reaction that happens on metal and moissanite is a crystal. The 925 sterling silver under them can darken over time, and any rhodium or gold finish on top slows that down until the finish wears. A bracelet sits against the wrist all day, so storage and a monthly clean matter more here than on a chain.

What length tennis bracelet should I order?
Measure your wrist snugly at the wrist bone with a soft tape, then add half an inch to an inch for movement and the clasp. Seven inches (18cm) is the most common adult length. We make the iced 2-6mm tennis bracelet in 16, 18, 20 and 22cm, and the 4×6mm stone version in 6.5, 7, 7.5 and 8 inch. If the bracelet slides over your hand, it is too loose.

Does a moissanite tennis bracelet pass a diamond tester?
On a pocket thermal tester, yes — moissanite reads like diamond on that instrument, which is why the FTC's guidance says a thermal tester may not accurately identify moissanite. That is a quirk of heat conductivity, not proof of anything. A bench jeweler identifies the stone with a different instrument, and it takes seconds.
